Lou and Laura Get Married
Where do you start, when a love story has more twists and turns than an Indiana backroad? We met at a camera store- a shared love of imagemaking and obscure darkroom equipment filled many of our first conversations- and that pretty much set the tone for the next decade and a half:
One of us: “you won’t believe this weird thing I just read/heard/saw/watched happen right in front of me!”
The other one: “tell me everything!”
After years of sharing roadtrips, photo gigs, craft shows, diner meals, train voyages, phonecalls, arguments meaningful and hilarious, and eventually you realize that you’re spending all of this time with the person you’re meant to spend the rest of your life with. Today, we spend most of our time in the backyard, riding across the country on private railcars, and basking in the light of the weird, amazing life we’ve created for ourselves. This May, we want to share that love with you, and we’re honored that you’re making the journey to the woods to see us get married.
The Big Day
Where: McCormick's Creek State Park at the Redbud Shelter
Upon arriving at the park, please tell the gate attendant that you are with the Stantz-Capwell Wedding! Your gate fee will be free.
The park is a busy place this time of year, please allow yourself extra time to get through the front gate and navigate the park
When: Saturday, May 27th 2023 at 3:30pm
It's Race Weekend folks! If you are thinking about flying, might we suggest flying into Louisville or Cincinnati which are both two hour drives into Spencer. Indianapolis is the closest, a 45 minute drive to Spencer, however it will be expensive on race weekend. We apologize.
The Vibe: A Woodland Picnic
Somehow, Laura talked Lou into getting married in the woods like common nymphs. However, it's going to be beautiful. You can expect fancy snacks, gourmet hotdogs, wedding cake (Laura's fave) and s'mores! There will be games, dancing and the swimming pool across the parking lot opens Memorial Day weekend! Who knows? May as well bring your suits.
